Amsterdam, 17 June 2011
We are both proud and utterly delighted to inform you that our partner, Frits van Dongen, has been appointed Chief Government Architect. As from 1 August 2011, he takes over from Liesbeth van der Pol, who is leaving after three years.
Selection for this post of decisive national importance marks a significant milestone in Frits van Dongen's career as an architect and urban planner. In 1988 Frits co-founded de Architekten Cie. and, in that capacity, his help has proved fundamental in shaping what our working community represents: an all-round studio for architecture, urban planning, design, concept development and interior design, with a national and international profile and scope of work.
Frits will serve as Chief Government Architect on a part-time basis, and therefore continuous his profound engagement with de Architekten Cie. We are very pleased that Frits is going to combine his role as partner in de Architekten Cie. with his new position.
We wish him every success as Chief Government Architect and are gratified at his continued involvement with De Architekten Cie.
For the partners, associates and staff of De Architekten Cie.
