Taipei Mayor visits Amsterdam

On September 11, the mayor of Taipei with a delegation of 11 people honored Amsterdam with a three day visit. Because of the good relations between the Architekten Cie. and the National University of Kaoshiung, Taiwan, our office was asked to accompany the group. On Sunday September 11, the delegation was welcomed in the Cie. headquarters on the Keizersgracht by, among others, Jason Lee, director of Cie.Asia. From there, the group visited a variety of architectural and urban design projects in Amsterdam by boat. The emphasis was on residential projects and sustainable housing.

On Monday, a programme was organized at the Amsterdam Zuidas and the GWL Area. In the information centre of the WTC, where a delegation from the City of Amsterdam was present, Pi de Bruijn gave an introduction to the Zuidas. On Tuesday, the delegation visited the Amsterdam Arena, where an representative of the BAM Group guided the visitors around.

That afternoon the group went on to Rome.
