New Amsterdam, Zuidas Amsterdam

Mahler 4 is the first zone to be developed within Amsterdam's ambitious and multifunctional Zuidas (South Axis) expansion area. Flexibility is the key feature of the residential tower ‘New Amsterdam’. The 3.6-metre-high floors can be arranged flexibly, allowing for 30 different types of dwelling, ranging from small business suites for short-stay rentals to generous penthouses. These are accessed by lifts from the entrance lobby at the foot of the building in the ground-floor plinth. At ground-floor level there are also various shops and amenities, such as a swimming pool, gym and sauna, as well as a conference centre. A waterfall accentuates the sloping plinth running alongside the promenade that transects the Mahler 4 plan area diagonally.
