Bern West Railway Station

The design for the station area includes a transparent-looking yet solid urban block. It incorporates different functions as shops, restaurants, cinema, education centre, radio and TV studios, offices and housing.
The station's intermediate level organizes the transfer, where efficiency is of major importance. Facilities focus on quick consumption and efficient provision of information. The upper level offers a view over the large elliptic atrium, which gradually descends into a classical-looking station hall of impressive size. A filigree-like glass roof protects visitors from the natural elements.
