This building’s dynamism underscores its playful function and reinvigorates the Gevers Deynootplein, a square that lies opposite. The architectural volume is lightened by the openwork, inclined edifice, which opens up towards the entrance. The horizontal façade elements are set furthest apart here and are accentuated by neon lighting at night. In a fluent sweep they gradually ‘close up’ again towards the sides. The façade safeguards the private sphere within without completely blocking the view from outside.
