The monumental ensemble of sheds, slipways and railway tracks still resonates a proud history. Today artists and entrepreneurs have developed NDSM into a leading area for creative industries in Amsterdam. To further the development into a high density urban area with a mix of uses including apartments, retail and recreation, a robust framework was designed to guide developments on water and land.
