‘Talk is Golden’: a social neighbourhood strategy for Malburgen, Arnhem

The intention with the ‘Talk is Golden’ (‘Praten is Goud’) project is to facilitate and improve the intercultural communication among the residents of Arnhem district of Malburgen. The project is the sequel to the spatial restructuring plan. The ‘Talk is Golden’ project delves deeper into the opportunities and threats perceived by the residents themselves by means of interviews and group discussions. One of the conclusions of the study was that positive accounts about the contact between people of different backgrounds predominate, despite the district’s poor image.
